Why is Google Calendar sync still broken in so many booking tools in 2025?

small business owner with a software background and honestly the number of really basic unsolved problems in booking tools is surprising. syncing reliably with google calendar without something breaking — why is this still an issue in 2025. the integration breaks, duplicates get created, events disappear. is this just a hard technical problem or are these tools not investing in it properly?
