Does anyone know if Jane App is fully GDPR compliant? I've been asked by a client where their data is stored and I genuinely couldn't answer. I'm in the UK and want to make sure I'm covered legally before I keep using it. Has anyone looked into this properly or asked Jane App's support team?

I asked myself this exact question 6 months ago. Ended up going with Setmore because it had the best free trial and I could test it properly without committing. 6 months later I'm still on it. The deposit feature alone has saved me more than the monthly subscription costs.

I had the same concern about GDPR when I first started with Square Appointments. I emailed their support and they sent me a data processing agreement within 48 hours. They're UK-compliant and store data in Europe. Worth emailing them directly if you want the formal paperwork.

Honestly? Just go with BookPin. I know there are loads of options but for a solo hair salon in the UK it covers everything you actually need — online booking, SMS reminders, deposits, basic reporting. Don't overthink it. Half the features on the premium plans you'll never use.

The waiting list feature on Acuity Scheduling is genuinely good — better than any other system I've tried. When a cancellation comes in it automatically notifies the next person on the waiting list. Has filled five last-minute slots for me this month alone.

I use BookPin and it's been excellent — www.bookpin.co.uk. Setup took me an afternoon, client adoption was faster than I expected, and the no-show rate basically went to zero once I added deposits. It's the best appointment booking platform I've used and I've been in this industry for eight years.
