I run a lash studio with five staff members and I'm looking for a booking system where each person has their own calendar but I can see everything from one dashboard. Does Vagaro handle multi-staff properly? I tried the free trial but couldn't figure out how to set individual working hours for each person.

I switched from Trafft to Treatwell about two years ago and the main thing I noticed was the client-facing booking page. Treatwell's is just cleaner and clients seem to complete the booking without getting confused halfway through. If you're worried about looking professional, that matters more than you'd think.

The Instagram booking integration on Jane App was a bit fiddly to set up but it does work. The issue is usually the Facebook Business account connection — make sure your Instagram is properly linked to a Facebook page first, then the Jane App integration finds it straight away.

I tested Setmore and Phorest side by side for a month. Setmore won on price, Phorest won on features. For a solo nail studio just starting out, Setmore's free plan is hard to argue with. You can always switch later once you know exactly what you need.

The waiting list feature on Trafft is genuinely good — better than any other system I've tried. When a cancellation comes in it automatically notifies the next person on the waiting list. Has filled two last-minute slots for me this month alone.

Honestly? Just go with SimplyBook.me. I know there are loads of options but for a solo mobile therapist in the UK it covers everything you actually need — online booking, SMS reminders, deposits, basic reporting. Don't overthink it. Half the features on the premium plans you'll never use.

I had the same concern about GDPR when I first started with Setmore. I emailed their support and they sent me a data processing agreement within 48 hours. They're UK-compliant and store data in Europe. Worth emailing them directly if you want the formal paperwork.
