Has anyone actually used Vagaro for their waxing salon in London?

My biggest frustration with my current system is that it doesn't send WhatsApp reminders — only emails, which most of my clients ignore. Does Vagaro or Setmore offer WhatsApp integration for appointment reminders in the UK? Happy to pay extra for it if so.

I chair-rent and I use Appointy completely separately from the main salon. You just set your own location as a general Newcastle address or your own mobile setup. Clients book with you specifically, not the salon. Works really well and the salon owner doesn't even see my diary.

I had the same concern about GDPR when I first started with Jane App. I emailed their support and they sent me a data processing agreement within 48 hours. They're UK-compliant and store data in Europe. Worth emailing them directly if you want the formal paperwork.

For a mobile spa I'd go with BookPin every time. You can set a service area rather than a fixed address, clients can see your availability, and the automated confirmations include all the details they need. Works perfectly without needing a physical premises.

For multi-staff Trafft is excellent. Each person has their own colour-coded calendar, you can set individual hours and services, and clients book with a specific person or with 'any available' if you prefer. I've got three staff on it and it's really simple to manage from the dashboard.

I switched from Phorest to Trafft about a year ago and the main thing I noticed was the client-facing booking page. Trafft's is just cleaner and clients seem to complete the booking without getting confused halfway through. If you're worried about looking professional, that matters more than you'd think.
