Does anyone use a waitlist that actually works for filling cancelled slots?

does anyone have a waitlist feature they actually use? i've got regulars who always want to get in sooner when someone cancels and i'd love a way to offer the slot automatically without going through my whole contact list manually. do any of the booking tools out there do this in a way that doesn't require me to do it manually anyway?
