Booking confirmation emails — does anyone actually read them?

i send a detailed confirmation every time. date, time, what to bring, parking info, everything. and yet clients still show up on the wrong day or ask where i'm located. at this point i wonder if it's worth writing them carefully at all or just sending a one-liner.
