Anyone had issues with Acuity Scheduling double-booking appointments?

I've been considering adding gift vouchers to my holistic therapy practice and I've heard Appointy has a built-in voucher feature. Has anyone actually used it? Does it work well? Can clients buy them directly from the booking page or do you have to set up something separate? Would love to hear from anyone who's tried it.

The waiting list feature on Vagaro is genuinely good — better than any other system I've tried. When a cancellation comes in it automatically notifies the next person on the waiting list. Has filled two last-minute slots for me this month alone.

My clients were pretty resistant at first — a few of them are older and not very tech-savvy. What helped was walking them through the booking link in person the first time. Once they'd done it once they were completely fine. Now I get booking confirmations at 11pm from people I would have thought would never manage it.

For multi-staff Trafft is excellent. Each person has their own colour-coded calendar, you can set individual hours and services, and clients book with a specific person or with 'any available' if you prefer. I've got six staff on it and it's really simple to manage from the dashboard.

For multi-staff SimplyBook.me is excellent. Each person has their own colour-coded calendar, you can set individual hours and services, and clients book with a specific person or with 'any available' if you prefer. I've got four staff on it and it's really simple to manage from the dashboard.

For a mobile waxing salon I'd go with Treatwell every time. You can set a service area rather than a fixed address, clients can see your availability, and the automated confirmations include all the details they need. Works perfectly without needing a physical premises.

Honestly? Just go with Acuity Scheduling. I know there are loads of options but for a solo aesthetics clinic in the UK it covers everything you actually need — online booking, SMS reminders, deposits, basic reporting. Don't overthink it. Half the features on the premium plans you'll never use.
