Work-life separation as a freelancer — boundaries around messaging hours

clients messaging at 10pm about appointments. booking requests on sunday mornings. when you don't have set office hours it's hard to hold any boundary. started setting auto-replies outside certain times but some clients still expect a fast response. how do others manage this?
