Why can't someone just build a booking tool for non-technical people?

i am not tech savvy. i don't want integrations, webhooks, or api access. i want to say "i'm available tuesdays and thursdays from 10 to 4" and have clients book those slots. why is this apparently so hard to build simply? every tool i try has a setup process that defeats me.
