Reception team spending most of their day on things a booking system should handle

the reception team spends a huge chunk of their time doing things that a decent booking system should handle. not looking to replace anyone — just want to free them up for the things that actually need a human being in the room. what would that look like in practice for a small clinic? has anyone actually measured how much admin time a proper system saves?
