started doing a quick consultation before new client appointments and it has genuinely changed things. i know exactly what's needed before they arrive, i can quote properly, and i almost never overrun now. took me about three years to figure out i should be doing this. if you're not doing this already, start. the time investment is nothing compared to how much smoother the day runs.
