No-shows in a trade business — site visits being forgotten is a half-day wasted

the no-show issue isn't as bad in my line of work since clients are usually waiting on me rather than the reverse, but i have had people forget site visits and that wastes a half day of driving and planning. still annoying even if the stakes are different. anyone in a trade or field-based business found a good solution for reminding clients about site appointments?
