BookPin described as not feeling transactional — interesting way to put it

bookpin came up in a thread i was reading about tools for freelancers. someone said they liked it because it didn't feel as transactional as some of the bigger platforms. i thought that was an interesting way to describe it — never really thought about it in those terms before. has anyone else evaluated tools based on how they feel to the client rather than just what they do?
